Do I need an appointment to visit Mia’s Bridal?
On week days, you are welcome to visit Mia’s any time during our regular hours. If you are wanting to try on gowns however, it is suggested that you make an appointment. This ensures you will have a room and a consultant to help you. On Saturdays, it is required that you have an appointment for bridal or bridesmaid try on.
Please remember: for any alterations on bridal, bridesmaid, mothers or special occasions please make an appointment. This allows us to schedule you with the appropriate tailor and tell you what you need to bring to your fitting.
Can I bring my family and friends with me to my appointment?
Please do, but consider limiting the number. Remember, too many opinions can lead to confusion. Also, due to space concerns, it is best to bring mom and one close friend. Although we all love children, it is best to not bring them to protect the frailty of the gowns and to allow for a more comfortable try on experience.
When should I begin gown shopping?
It is never too soon to begin your search. Some brides start the day after their engagement. Usually it is best to start looking 10-12 months prior to your date. This allows you enough time to narrow down your selection and order the gown with plenty of time for alterations or any delays.
Help! I’m a last minute bride. Can I still purchase a wedding gown?
Yes! Dresses can always be purchased off the rack and altered to fit. We can also check stock with our manufacturers to see if they have anything hanging or in transit to their facility. Lastly, one of our designers offers One Week Delivery on the majority of their gowns in sizes 2-20.
How often do new dresses arrive in the shop?
For wedding gowns and bridesmaids, there are 2 seasons: Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. We normally receive new dresses every week. So if you don’t see something on your first visit, if you come back later, you may find the dress of your dreams.
What is the price range of your gowns?
We offer a full range of designer gowns to meet any budget. Informal dresses typically range from $200-$600. Formal gowns range from $500-$2000.
Can I complete my entire bridal look (gown, headpiece, veil, shoes, accessories) at Mia’s?
Yes! We have all the accessories to complete your look. Typically we suggest picking out your veil and headpiece at your first fitting, that way we can match the accessories while you are wearing your actual dress.
Do you offer alterations?
Our expert seamstresses provide alterations on any gown purchased from our store (and we also alter gowns not purchased at our store, depending on time allowance). The cost of alterations is not included in the price of your gown, however. Please make sure you set up an appointment. Bridesmaids typically need to be fitted 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding date. Wedding gowns should be fitted 8-10 weeks prior.
Please note that we do alter regular clothing as well. For any general alterations, there is no need to set an appointment.
Do you offer wedding gown preservation?
Yes! A local company Arrow provides all of our wedding gown preservation services. Bring your gown into Mia's, pay the preservation fee, and 3-4 weeks later you will receive a call to pick up the preserved gown. The typical charge is $199.00 + tax, however adding shoes, a shawl, a headpiece, etc is $10-$30.00 additional for each piece. Silk gowns or intricately beaded or lace gowns incur an additional $50.00 charge.
What form of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, personal check or cash.
What is your return policy?
All sales are final.
